EDDIE TOPE
Eddie L. Tope, 82, Rt. 2, died at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 14 in PauldingCounty Hospital shortly after admission.
He was born Oct. 7, 1992, in Paulding County, the son of Levi and Alta(Belle) Tope. He married Gladys Carlisle, who died March 30, 1984.
A retired farmer and retired Marathon Oil distributor in Paulding, hewas a member of Paulding Grange and Lions Club and Sherwood Lodge 620AMF, where he was past master and 50-year member.
Surviving are one son, Lowell, Paulding, two daughters, Mrs. Joseph(Alice) Mallone of Geneva and Mrs. Charles (Bonnie) Rodman, Haviland; twosisters, Mrs. Flossie Hallard of Hometown Nursing Home, Paulding and Mrs.Mabel Marson, Jacksonville, Ark., eight grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by one sister, Esther; three brothers,Leroy (Doc), William and John; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday in Den Herder Funeral Home with Rev. JamesPelton officiating. Burial followed in St. Paul's Cemetery, Paulding.Sherwood Lodge held Masonic services on Monday.

William R. Tope, Sr., 55, of 307 East Jackson St, Paulding, was
dead on arrival at Sweetwater Hospital, Sweetwater, Tenn., about 11 a.m.Sunday, apparently having suffered a heart attack while on a vacationtrip.
A native of Paulding County, he was born April 20, 1916, the son of Leviand Alta (Dodge) Tope. He was an army veteran of World War II, a truckdriver for Essex Wire Company, member of Paulding V.F.W. and the PauldingEagles.
Surviving are his wife Ursula (Clark) Tope; two daughters, Beverly andLeann, both at home; a son William R., Jr., of Ft. Wayne; two brothers,Edward of Paulding and LeRoy of New Haven; three sisters, Mrs. FlossieHallard, Rural Route, Haviland, Mrs. Esther Ruble, Rural Route, Pauldingand Mrs. Mabel Marson of Jacksonville, Ark.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the CrowellDen Herder Funeral Home, Rev. Thomas Beauregard officiating, followed
