HARVEY RUBLE
Harvey H. Ruble, age72, R 1, Paulding, passed away at 11 a.m. Nov.29after being a patient in a Toledo Hospital for five weeks. He had been apatient for five weeks at Van Wert Hospital following an accident inwhich he was severely burned.
Mr. Ruble was born April 12, 1899, in Allen County, Ind., son of Frankand Frances (Lothamer) Ruble. Until retirement, he farmed in the GroverHill area, and was a member of the Grover Hill Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife, Esther Tope) Ruble; two daughters, Mrs. Joe(Norma) Davis, Grover Hill and Mrs. Doyt (Arlene) Mason, Grover Hill; twosons, Gene H. Ruble, Grover Hill; and Terry E. Ruble, Haviland; ninegrandchildren; three brothers, Dale of Wolcottville, Ind.; Romey,Monroeville, Ind; and Therman, Ft. Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. ClaraLehman, Decatur, Mrs. Lela Hoffman, Monroeville and Mrs. Lena Felt, Ft.Wayne.
Services will be conducted Wed. at 2 p.m. in Crowell-Den Herder FuneralHome, Rev. Earl Copsey, pastor of Grover Hill Church of the Nazareneofficiating with interment in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding.

John, as he was known by his family and companions, had very highambitions, desiring to obtain an education that would enable and preparehim for a position in later life as an accountant, and book-keeper. Hehad just finished his second year in the Payne High school, and was agood scholar and regular attendant the past school year, havingendeavored to be present in his classes every day...In the summer monthshe assisted his father with the work on the farm, and was ever ready tolend a helping hand in the home to assist his mother with the householdduties, thus lifting her load as best he could....He accidentally met hisdeath Sunday afternoon, May 17, 1925, about four o'clock, with two of hisassociates, when the machine in which they were riding was struck by theeast bound passenger train, at the railroad crossing, in Briceton, Ohio,thus bringing to a tragic close the life that had such a bright futurebefore it, he having reached the age of 16 years, 4 months, 16 days.
John, we know, will be greatly missed in the home, in the school anotheryear as his place will be vacant there and elsewhere. We wonder why Godin His providence permits such tragedies to be enacted, yet we do notwish to question His wisdom, but trust all may learn the lesson hedesires in this way to teach, and humbly say Thy will be done."
Our deepest sorrow no words can tell;
No name through sound breaths the soul's deep spell,
Of relentless grief when life is fled,
And our loved, however dear, are dead.
And the tears we weep are wept in vain
And the hear is bowed in bitter pain,
Words for our sympathy all have fled.
Yet we loved and we cherish our precious dead.

Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Ira N. Kilpatrick of Payne, O.,Wednesday afternoon, from the St. Paul church norlth of Briceton, Ohio,and after the last sad rites were said, the body was laid to rest in thecemetery adjoining the church.
