Note: Charles and Christenia Riddle lived in Chatham County, NC until 1831 when they sold out and moved to Hardin County, Tennesse. After staying in Hardin County for 10 years they moved from there to Stoddard County, Missouri where both died in the 1850's.

Note: John Riddle Jr. sold his land in Chatham County to Merrit Dickens in 1821 before the death of his father. Also in 1819 he sold land to his uncle Thomas Riddle Sr. Chatham County Court minutes show him working on a road crew in 1824 so his move to Maury County, Tennesse was made between 1821- 1830. He is listed in the Maury County, Tennesse census of 1830. By 1840 he had moved to Hardin County, Tennesse joining his brothers Brittain and Charles, some of his sisters and his mother.
