Riddle, Daniel Murphy {I4058} (b. 12 Sep 1911, d. Jan 1998)

Note: Daniel was former Assistant Deputy postmaster General in Washington, D. C., former Mayor of Marksville, Louisiana and a Major in the U. S. Army in World War II. While serving in Washington he lived partime in Maryland and bred race horses after retirement and moving back to Marksville he continued to raise race horses.

Riddle, Charles Addison {I4067} (b. 19 Jul 1917, d. 18 Mar 1976)

Note: Charles was a graduate of L.S.U with a degree in B.S. and Law. he was a member of of the Avoyelles Parris, Louisiana and the American Bar Associations and he was licensed to to practice in all states and federal courts including the U.S. Supreme Court. He was a senior partner of the law firm of Riddle, Bennett and Ryland in Marksville. He served as District Attorney for Avoyelles Parrish from 1948 through 1960 and fron 1966 through 1972.
During World War II Charles served in the U.S. Navy and was discharged as Lieutenant (senior grade). He was city attorney in Marksville before becoming D.A. He served as a member of the Louisiana Democratic State Central Committee for eight years (1956-1964).
