Hardin, Glenn Foster {I4800} (b. 1 Jul 1910, d. 6 Mar 1975)

Note: Glenn was known as "Slats" Hardin and was a famous athlete at the Louisiana State University where he was a track star. He won the 400 meter hurdles in the 1932 Olympic games held in California and again in 1936 in Berlin, Germany. He was an Olympic Gold and Silver medal winner in track.

Death: 6 Mar 1975 Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Note: Billy was also an Olympic Hurdler competiting in the 1964 Games. They became the first father and son duo to represent the USA in Olympic competition. He was ranked number 2 in the World for hurdles in 1964.

Riddle, Willie Myrtle {I4826} (b. 3 Aug 1891, d. Dec 1981)

Note: Willie was tall and slender and became a school teacher at Jacinto. An expert seamtress, she made beautiful quilts, was an incrediable cook and had a green thumb with flowers. She had blue eyes and long, dark brownish, auburn, wavy hair which she wore braided up and wrapped around her head during the day and at night would let it down and brush it. It was well below her knees whan let down. The rest of her life was devoted to her husband and family. A very soft spoken lady, she had the patience of a saint.
